The Welcome Inn lounge, besides featuring your favorite cocktails, wines and beer, displays many local pieces of memorabilia that highlight the heritage and history of the railroad that built Elizabeth, the Elizabeth fire department that has protected Elizabeth, and farming that provided our prosperity. A early 20th century large wheel bicycle hangs from the ceiling. A re-constructed primative pioneer fort that was attacked by Black Hawk in 1832 is only a few hundred yards away. Thousands of tourists visit it every year.
